Port of Philadelphia maritime records, 1766-1937.

Information about the transmission of diseases through the port is contained within the port warden's minutes of 1766-1880. Other segments of the collection include naturalization records and an index, 1794-1880; lists of the arrival and clearance of vessels, 1783-1880; list of crews, 1789-1880; alphabetical and chronological lists and an index of masters and crews, 1798-1880; slave manifests, 1800-1841; letters of marque, 1804-1815; and records of wrecks in the Philadelphia district, 1874-1937.
